How Old Can an Agency Be?

Technology has advanced at great speeds, but there are still various offices around the world that are not taking advantage of this technology for their business. Only the other week I visited an office which looked as though the business was falling apart, but in true essence the business was actually quite successful, but because of the competitors using better technology they were beginning to beat them. So let us take a brief look at some of the items that should not be around anymore.

Filing

Paper work is an absolute thing of the past, when I visited this company’s basement it was literally full of bags of shredded paper. I mean what an downright waste and harm that will cause to the environment. Why not instead get a hard drive which stores all of the documents and then back this up with another drive.

Fax Machines

Fax machines should no longer be in use no matter what. I mean to the highest degree of the chopped paper that I was talking about above has been created by this fax machine. The business was actually using fax to deal with all of its work. You should alternatively be using things such as fax to electronic mail these days.

Flat Screens

Again no one, not even people in their homes use the full-grown dumpy monitors anymore. Save yourself some space and electricity by getting new energy efficient flat screen monitors which also display a lot better.

Phone Number

This was most probably one of the more crucial aspects. The company were still using a normal land line telephone service. They did not have a business number or an 0800 number; they did not even have an automated message section. So when the staff were busy the phone just kept ringing and ringing, which not only looked unprofessional to the people ringing but also to people that could hear the noise.
