Have you considered selling cars for a living? There are many positive aspects to being a car salesman. The career of car salesman is not on top of anyone’s list of choices, but it should be one to consider. Many people earn a very good living selling cars. I have known many that have a car salesmen income that is six figures a year.

The career of a car salesman is not for just anybody, drive and ambition is required to succeed. You don’t have to go to college and spend thousands of dollars to earn $100,000 a year. A college education is not for everyone and being a car salesman isn’t either. If going to college is not for you being a car salesman might be a career to consider.

There is always a period when you learn the business in any new job. You need to discover the method and techniques that make a car salesman good. You could start earning the big bucks in as little as a 2 to 4 months, it depends on your desire and drive. When you start selling cars for a car dealership they typically provide some basic car salesman training to get you started in the right direction.

The car salesman will work more than 40 hours a week, but when you earn $100,000 a year who cares. Most people don’t mind working a few extra hours weekly in order to earn the income of a good car sales person. The work that a car salesman performs is not difficult work compared to most jobs. You can come home from work the same as you went to work, well dressed and clean.

The daily activities of the car salesman are test driving cars, showing cars to customers and advising customers. There might be cases where you would pickup a trade-in, fill out credit applications or make a trade with another dealer. You got me, selling cars is not always fun, sometimes you have to call customer leads or help move cars on the dealer lot. The job of selling cars has good and bad points, but there are usually more good than bad.

If you are considering a car sales career, there is a downside. You won’t be able to count on a certain amount of pay every week. The job of a car salesman is paid commission on their sales, so weekly pay might vary, but overall the monthly pay is consistent for a good sales person. A negative to selling cars are the holidays, some dealers are open on some of the holidays. Being a car salesman is one of the jobs that has the potential to earn six figures without a college education. When it is a tough job market you might want to consider a car salesman job.
